ActiveFinder GTA ("the App") is a free mobile application that helps users find drop-in activities at community centers across the Greater Toronto Area. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Information We Collect
ActiveFinder GTA is designed to be privacy-friendly. We collect minimal data:
- Location data (optional): If you grant permission, the App uses your device's location to show nearby activities and sort results by distance. Your location is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to our servers.
- No personal information: The App does not require an account, login, email address, or any personal information.
- No tracking: We do not use analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies.
Data Storage
Activity schedule data is downloaded from our servers and stored locally on your device using an offline database. This data contains only publicly available community center schedules — no personal information is stored.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, share, or transfer any user data to third parties. Since we don't collect personal information, there is nothing to share.
Third-Party Services
The App uses Apple Maps (iOS) for displaying map views. Apple's own privacy policy governs their handling of map data. No user data is shared with Apple through the App beyond standard map tile requests.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. Since no personal data is collected from any user, the App is safe for users of all ages.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
